Getting to know you...

Okay, I have a question for all the bloggers out there. I do not have a clue how many people stumble across this blog, but I kind of wanted to know and what better way to do that then to ask a question. :)

If you had the chance to travel anywhere you wanted, time and cost were not an issue, where would you go?

My answer may sound kind of lame, but I want to go to all of the major league baseball fields in America. That is one of my biggest dreams. I only picked one, but there are so many other places I would love to go.

It's all good...

Houston Astros update: they were on a 6 game winning streak but they lost today. Oh well, at least they are playing better. They did sweep the Padres, which was nice since they lost so badly when we played in San Diego. My other Astros team: with a little less then 3 weeks to go in the season Mr. J finally hit the ball. He was thrown out at first, but he finally made contact, not once, but twice!!! He was so excited. I missed the first hit, but I was there for the second...sitting there with my hands to my face...praying that he would hit the ball...holding my breath everytime the ball was pitched. When I heard the "clunk" of the bat I was in such shock, but was so excited. He was so proud of himself. We got into the car and he had to call everyone in the family that couldn't make the game. He says he does not ever want to play baseball again so this may be the last season. :( Who knows, he is only 7 righ? I think that's about it....OH...wait...one more important thing... My little sister....She graduates next month with her Pysicians Assistance License. I am so proud of her. She is an amazing woman and I am truly honored to be her sister. netter....if you read this, while preparing for graduation, the move, the new jobs, the......know that I love you very much. Ironic, isn't it...

So, the major league Astros lost to the Mariners. Go figure that the little league Astros beat them.... I'm wondering if maybe, just maybe, we need to send the little league Astros to the majors? heeheehee... odd thought, but it's kind of ironic if you think about it. :) I told you that baseball season was this girls favorite season of the year. I bet that you guys will get tired of hearing about them before too long...or are you already tired of them? If so too bad. :) Have a wonderful weekend blogger friends. My other Astros won!!

Mr. J plays for the Little league Astros and tonight they won their first game!!! It was very exciting. They play pitching machine so it's supposed to be a constant pitch. NOT!!! Especially when you have 6-8 yr old trying to hit the ball. None of them are the same heigth, but they are too cute. I will have to load some pictures, not that I have figured out how. :) The final score was Astros 7 - Marlins 5. Way to go boys.

Yikes!!

I know, I know...the Astros are not playing as well as I was hoping they would. :( It's bad when you turn on the local radio stations and they are refering to the Astros as the "Lastros." They are 3-7 what's up with that? GGGRRRR...Okay boys. We have the Rockets in the playoffs, the Houston Arrows (hocky team) in the playoffs, we need to get moving. I am well aware that they can come back and kick some major butt, but I'm not really ready for the roller coaster ride this year. Let's just get moving so that this Astros fan can keep cheering and not have to defend herself against anyone else. I will continue to support them, but yikes... On a different sport. We took Mr. J to a Rockets basket ball game last night. He is so fun to go places with. I miss my little baby boy, but he is growing up to be such a young man. I am very proud of him. Take me out to the ball game...

It's baseball season...YEAH!!! My favorite season of the year. Now most people don't think of baseball as a favorite season, but this girl here...waits for it every year. I know, I'm nuts, but the Astros are the team. They have their ups and their downs, but I will stand behind them 110% just because I can.

Oswalt had a pretty rough start against the Padres, but I have a feeling he will do much better today. The batters seem to be coming into their own so just give them a little bit more time and I think I can see the them heading towards the ultimate goal...the play offs. They just have to keep everyone healthy and strong, but I have faith that they can.

Now one of my biggest dreams is to watch the Astros play at Wrigley Field. A few years ago they were playing there on my birthday...we tried to get there, but it would have cost way too much so...we are saving up so that one day we can go. I would love for Mr. J to be able to go also and see the stadium before they decide that it's not worth keeping and tear it down. :( that would be sad.

So until baseball season is over you might be able to here this wild and crazy Astros fan cheering from her house or her car. For all the other people out there, who don't know who a good baseball team is, you might want to consider the Astros, if you don't already have a favorite. They might just suprise you. ;)
