Mr J. turns 8

I'm a bit behind on posting, but when I got back from my trip things were crazy. I had to take and Economics final on Tuesday night and get ready for an eight year olds birthday party. Yes, Mr. J turned 8. We had such a great time watching him enjoy his day. His party actually started Friday night. We went to the Astros game. They played the Mets and won. He was able to bring a friend so the two boys watched the game, talked about the plays, and cheered their hearts out. The best part was when Blum hit a grand slam and then Valverdie came in to pitch. Mr. J looked at me, with his big blue eyes and said "Mom, this is the best birthday of my life." Then he went back to dancing on the chair with his friend. On Friday nights they have fireworks at MinuteMaid park. It was just a very nice night.
We got home, went to bed and got up early to start the birthday celebrations. We rented a moonwalk that has water in it. Basically a contained slip and slide with extra bounce. Way too much fun. That's all I have to say about that. When the party was over Mr. J was finally hungry. I don't kjnow how we are going to afford him when he hits puberty. He ate 2 hotdogs, a bowl of chili, 2 scoops of ice cream, and some cake. Then he munched on some veggies that were laying around. All in all he had a great birthday.

The vacation...

My friend Steph and I needed to get away and just have some girlfriend time. The last time we went on vacation together was when Mr. J was about a year old. He turned 8 this last weekend. It had been way too long.
So we packed up and headed to Panama City Beach, Florida. Oh my goodness. It was beautiful. Hurricane Dolly kept us out of the water, but we laid on the beach, walked in the sand, relaxed by the pool. Anything and everything you could want on a vacation. :)
We rented a car at the airport and, thankfully, it had "Marge". Marge is what we called the GPS system, we figured she would be with us all weekend we needed to give her a nice name. :) We turned Marge on and left the airport...not following her directions. It took us about 15 minutes to finally figure out that Marge really did know where she was going and we needed to listen to her and not read off the map we had printed. I know you are laughing at us, but I know some of you out there have done the exact same thing. We were laughing so hard and the trip had just begun.
We finally made it to the hotel, got checked in, went exploring, and then dinner. We did not plan on eating dinner when we did, but all of a sudden we both realized that breakfast in Texas had long since been gone. We ate at the hotel and then we went to Wal-Mart to pick up some food for the week. We had a kitchen so we had plans to only eat out once a day. Wal-Mart on the beach in Florida was very interesting. I don't know if it's because it's on the beach that people don't put on clothing, but some of them should have and others were fine. lol, people watching is so much fun.
We got back to the hotel, went to the front desk to ask about renting movies and they had a free movie rental in the lobby. SWEET. We rented our first movie, took it upstairs, poured ourselves something to drink and started watching the movie. We made it, maybe, 15 minutes into the movie and took it back. This movie shall forever remain nameless. *shudders* We ended up watching a total of 7 movies while we were there. It was awesome.
The next few days were pretty much the same...get up...get dressed...go to the beach...come in...eat lunch...go shopping or back to the beach...then come back...shower...go eat...come home...watch a movie...go to bed...it was wonderful.
We did decide to rent jet-skies and take the trip to Shell Island. Steph and I decided that we both wanted to ride our own so we rented 2 and headed out with the tour guide and another group of people. It was all fine and dandy until my jet ski started beeping at me with the big red *WARNING* lights. I yelled to the guide and he told me it was fine, just push such and such button and everything would be fine. I was a bit nervous, but did it and the beeping stopped. Problem solved...NOT. We made it to Shell Island and the beeping started again. So the guide said he would check it when we finished walking around the island. When we finished our tour he just said he would ride the one I was on so I didn't worry. Well it broke down on him while he was riding it...go figure. So Steph and I had to ride back together on one jet ski....we laughed so hard...I even fell off at one point. We didn't get over 10 miles an hour, but when we did I would almost fly off the back again. It was so much fun. Our bodies hurt the next day.
All in all it was a wonderful trip. I can't wait for our next one. Hope everyeone had a wonderful day.

Girls just wanna have fun...

This last week was awesome. I got to go to Florida with a girlfriend of mine. We have been friends since High School and the last time we had a girl trip was when my son was almost 1. It's been 7 years!! We went to Panama City Beach Florida and had a blast.
I am proud to say that I did not get burned because I kept my sunscreen on all week long. I have a nice tan, for me, but I did not burn. I'm very excite. usually I end up getting sunburned when I stay out in the sun. Okay, enough about my sunburn experiences.
It was raining when we got to the beach, but we still went out and found the perfect spot to soak up the rays when the sun did come out. It's late and I'm just getting home, but I wanted to let everyone know that I had made it home safe and sound and had a wonderful time. I'll write more tomorrow.

Time flies when your having fun

Wow, it's amazing to me how much time has gone by since I last posted. Life has been good. Working, going to school, spending time with the fam. Nothing out of the ordinary. I have had to write so many papers in the last few weeks that blogging is like homework to me. I leave for vacation tomorrow so when I get back I will blog about my vacation. Then Mr. J's birthday is coming up, so I will blog about that... um, other then that just wanted to post something here since I had not in so long. :)

Graduation...

I went to graduation this last weekend for work. Several of my co-workers graduated and it was so very exciting. I realized, watching them walk across the stage, that I have 20 months left to go.

This weekend I am going to my sisters graduation. She is getting her Masters. I am so very, very, very proud of her. She is, finally, completing her life long dream. She is amazing, smart, funny, beautiful...I could go on, but I'm sure nobody wants to hear all the wonderful things she does. :)

So in honor of all of my friends, and my sister.... Hat's off to you and congratulations on your graduations. The next several weeks are filled with all kinds of graduations so even if you haven't walked yet, I know you can do it and your amazing. I am right behind you.... December 2009.

Getting to know you...

Okay, I have a question for all the bloggers out there. I do not have a clue how many people stumble across this blog, but I kind of wanted to know and what better way to do that then to ask a question. :)

If you had the chance to travel anywhere you wanted, time and cost were not an issue, where would you go?

My answer may sound kind of lame, but I want to go to all of the major league baseball fields in America. That is one of my biggest dreams. I only picked one, but there are so many other places I would love to go.

So bloggers.....if you are out there....let me hear from you. Tell me where your from and where you want to go. Have a wonderful day.

It's all good...

Houston Astros update: they were on a 6 game winning streak but they lost today. Oh well, at least they are playing better. They did sweep the Padres, which was nice since they lost so badly when we played in San Diego.

My other Astros team: with a little less then 3 weeks to go in the season Mr. J finally hit the ball. He was thrown out at first, but he finally made contact, not once, but twice!!! He was so excited. I missed the first hit, but I was there for the second...sitting there with my hands to my face...praying that he would hit the ball...holding my breath everytime the ball was pitched. When I heard the "clunk" of the bat I was in such shock, but was so excited. He was so proud of himself. We got into the car and he had to call everyone in the family that couldn't make the game. He says he does not ever want to play baseball again so this may be the last season. :( Who knows, he is only 7 righ?

I think that's about it....OH...wait...one more important thing... My little sister....She graduates next month with her Pysicians Assistance License. I am so proud of her. She is an amazing woman and I am truly honored to be her sister. netter....if you read this, while preparing for graduation, the move, the new jobs, the......know that I love you very much.

That's it bloggers..Classes are going well. Family is good. Hope everyone out there is doing wonderful. Have an amazing day, night, weekend, whatever....just let it be amazing.

Slow Dance

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to the rain Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.

Don't dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won't last.

Do you run through each day

On the fly?

When you ask How are you?

Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie in your bed

With the next hundred chores

Running through your head?

You'd better slow down

Don't dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won't last.

Ever told your child,

We'll do it tomorrow?

And in your haste,

Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,

Let a good friendship die

Cause you never had time

To call and say,"Hi"

You'd better slow down.

Don't dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere

You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through your day,

It is like an unopened gift....

Thrown away.

Life is not a race.

Do take it slower

Hear the music

Before the song is over.

I found this poem that was written by a young woman with cancer. I loved it and had to put it on here. Don't forget the special people in your life. Take time to hold hands, play games and love. Have a great day bloggers.

Ironic, isn't it...

So, the major league Astros lost to the Mariners. Go figure that the little league Astros beat them.... I'm wondering if maybe, just maybe, we need to send the little league Astros to the majors? heeheehee... odd thought, but it's kind of ironic if you think about it. :)

I told you that baseball season was this girls favorite season of the year. I bet that you guys will get tired of hearing about them before too long...or are you already tired of them? If so too bad. :) Have a wonderful weekend blogger friends. Don't be shy, leave a message if you want. I am always trying to find new blogs to look at and people to meet.

My other Astros won!!

Mr. J plays for the Little league Astros and tonight they won their first game!!! It was very exciting. They play pitching machine so it's supposed to be a constant pitch. NOT!!! Especially when you have 6-8 yr old trying to hit the ball. None of them are the same heigth, but they are too cute. I will have to load some pictures, not that I have figured out how. :) The final score was Astros 7 - Marlins 5. Way to go boys.

Yikes!!

I know, I know...the Astros are not playing as well as I was hoping they would. :( It's bad when you turn on the local radio stations and they are refering to the Astros as the "Lastros." They are 3-7 what's up with that? GGGRRRR...Okay boys. We have the Rockets in the playoffs, the Houston Arrows (hocky team) in the playoffs, we need to get moving. I am well aware that they can come back and kick some major butt, but I'm not really ready for the roller coaster ride this year. Let's just get moving so that this Astros fan can keep cheering and not have to defend herself against anyone else. I will continue to support them, but yikes...

On a different sport. We took Mr. J to a Rockets basket ball game last night. He is so fun to go places with. I miss my little baby boy, but he is growing up to be such a young man. I am very proud of him.

I hope everyone out there in blogging land is having a good day. I will be back soon. :)

Take me out to the ball game...

It's baseball season...YEAH!!! My favorite season of the year. Now most people don't think of baseball as a favorite season, but this girl here...waits for it every year. I know, I'm nuts, but the Astros are the team. They have their ups and their downs, but I will stand behind them 110% just because I can.

Oswalt had a pretty rough start against the Padres, but I have a feeling he will do much better today. The batters seem to be coming into their own so just give them a little bit more time and I think I can see the them heading towards the ultimate goal...the play offs. They just have to keep everyone healthy and strong, but I have faith that they can.

Now one of my biggest dreams is to watch the Astros play at Wrigley Field. A few years ago they were playing there on my birthday...we tried to get there, but it would have cost way too much so...we are saving up so that one day we can go. I would love for Mr. J to be able to go also and see the stadium before they decide that it's not worth keeping and tear it down. :( that would be sad.

So until baseball season is over you might be able to here this wild and crazy Astros fan cheering from her house or her car. For all the other people out there, who don't know who a good baseball team is, you might want to consider the Astros, if you don't already have a favorite. They might just suprise you. ;)

Have a wonderful weekend.

Gone, but not for good

Sorry about the huge delay in posting again. I have to write papers for class and sometimes this feels more like homework then fun. :) Classes are going great. I only have 14 more to go and then I will be done!!!! YEAH!!!
Mr. J finished basketball and now is into baseball. It's alot of fun, but the games are early evenings so I am going to miss most of them. :(
We have finally moved in and gotten settled into the new place. It's nice, but we have found the one downside. We are in the flight plan of the airport.
Okay, that is all I have today. I will try not to wait as long. :)

Not sure what happened....

Well, I am not sure what happened. I posted a blog the weekend of Presidents Day, but it's not showing...who knows.
The post was gas went from $2.52 per gallon on Tuesday to $2.89 on Monday. Then it went back down to $2.67. Gas is driving me crazy...If I could figure out a way to save alot of gas I would. I would fill up any and all of the things that I could, legally, with gas and hold them in the garage. I do feel privaleged that I am not paying over $3 yet, but it's getting closer and closer. We are holding steady at $2.98...HA, like that's really cheap.

The sell of the house is done and we are now living in our apartment. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Lots more free time because there is no yard work. It's raining tonight so I have moved all of my plants to the courtyard so that they could get a good soaking rain. I am heading out so I am going to end this blog. I will be better at posting. :) I know that you miss me.

Did you miss me? You should have...heeheehee

I am still around!! I know some of you were missing me (this is where the comments should come pouring in. ;)) Life has been crazy, but it should be getting a bit better.

1. We close on the house on the 25th and we are moving out of our house on the 22nd so we have a few days to get things done.

2. I just completed 2 more classes. Last nights final, well let's just say... ***WHEW*** glad it's over. I made the minimum grade that I could on the final and still make a C. I am not excited about the C, because I want and A, but I am excited about the C because I passed the class and I do not have to take it again. :) Yeah me!!!!

3. Mr. J started little league this week. I was such a bad mom the other day I actually put my son in a position to get hurt, unknowingly. :( I cried when he did get hurt because I told him to do it, not thinking that his 7yr old brain would not compute that you have to change the way you stand when you bat left handed. :( I felt awful. We made him get back in the batting cage and hit right handed and by the time he was done he had forgotten all about his poor fingers that had been hit by the baseball.

4. Basketball....let me just say that I am so glad it will be over in 2 weeks. We have only won one game, but that's okay. The part that gets to me is the other teams. Our boys are just too sweet so we are having to work on making them mean...I know that sounds odd, but when it comes to a jump ball none of them hold onto the ball and they let the other team have it. It kind of goes against everything we have taught them...share, be kind....now we are yelling at them to take the ball, push him out of the way...LOL.

That is pretty much what is going on around here. Just working and going to school, basketball and baseball practice, packing the house, getting all the other stuff done that goes with selling a house and moving. If I get behind again I am sorry. I am going to try and figure out how to put some pictures on here. HA HA HA HA, but a girl can dream right?

Don't be a stranger out there. If you stop by comment. I am looking for new sites to go to and view and looking for new friends to read about.

The flu has hit and run

Sorry about not posting in a few days. The flu has hit our house. I keep speaking that I will not get it and I believe that I will not get it. My hubby started it last week, my son is dealing with it now. I am not going to get it. If anyone that is reading this has or is recovering from the flu my prayers go out to you. There is nothing worse then not being able to make my family feel better. I have to run, but I just wanted to update so that you didn't think I forgot how to blog. :) Have a blessed day.

Is it crazy around here or is it just me???

We are selling our house. We do not know the closing dates yet, but they are approaching. This is really good news because it will allow us to save some money and get back on our feet. Our feet are not that far out from under us, but it would be nice to have a little bit in savings. The one thing that we agreed on is that we would not have credit cards, which we don't. We don't even have a checking account. Cash only and Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace has helped us out. Hence the reason we are down sizing.

There is one concern about down sizing....I looked around the house Saturday and literally laughed so hard I cried. I realized that we are going from a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, living room, dining room, kitchen, breakfast area, and garage....to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. We have 2 whole rooms that we have to remove!! I looked at my husband and just laughed as we were trying to pack boxes. We have not lived in an apartments since we got married 10 years ago. I really can't wait to see how this works. It will be an adventure.

The basketball game went okay on Saturday. When kids play they each get a colored wrist band and they find the person on the other team with the same color and that is who they guard. These kids are just learning the game so it makes it easier on them to just look for the wrist band. Well this weekend they did not have wrist bands, they were just told to guard someone. lol. That was very interesting. You would have 2 or 3 kids just standing around the goal because everybody else was guarding the kid with the ball. Then the ball would be passed to someone else and all the kids would go to that boy. There were kids standing around all over the place. Some of the parents, me included, told the director of the league that the wrist bands needed to stay on for a bit longer. Our team played better this time so we were excited. Mr. J only scored 4 of the 10 points, but hey, that means the other kids are getting better. We lost, but we were winning until the last 6 minutes of the game. The other coach put in this little boy who was super fast. He would steal the ball from our guys and be at the basket before they realized the ball was gone. He was pretty impressive.

Next is baseball season. We have only played T-ball so this is a new thing for us. Mr. J did not like T-ball so we figured he would not want to play baseball, but registration signs were all over town and he decided that he needed to play. YEAH!! Baseball is my favorite sport. If you have never been to a little league registration it is very interesting. Mr. J is in Pee Wee Minor, since he has not played in 2 years. He has the chance to get drafted into Pee Wee Majors if he does well during tryouts. ?????? Who knew????? I heard some strange conversations, but my hubby knew what they were talking about so I was just listening and trying to figure it all out. I don't know when the season starts, but when I do I will email the fam with the dates.

I am working on homework for my two classes today since Mr. J is in school and hubby is working. As you can tell I am not getting a whole lot done. :) I have already read the chapters I just have to type up the papers. Don't worry, it will get done. Okay, I must get. I hope that anyone who reads this has a wonderful day. Just remember....Happiness is a state of mind, not a goal in life..

It's all about grossing out Mom

Okay, 7 year old boys love nothing more then grossing each other out. My sons favorite past time, this week, has been showing me his loose tooth. I can handle skinned knees, a bloody nose, even puke, but teeth....shiver....they give me the heebee jeebees. He knows this and for the last week has been coming to sit on my lap. Being as sweet as he can be, and wiggling his tooth. It is just not natural looking. Like I said, other things don't bother me, but wiggle a tooth in front of me and blah....
He had a friend come over the other night and while he was here he lost a tooth. They immediatly came to me to take care of it. I had to send them to hubby because it just creeps me out. Well, Saturday night at a birthday party J could not eat because his tooth hurt. Yes, it was really loose, but not enough to come out. Trust me, I tried. ewww... I had kleenex trying to pull that sucker out, but it would not come. The whole time he was laughing because it grossed me out. We finally gave up, thank goodness, and he forgot about it.
I am very happy to announce that he called me at work this afternoon to let me know it had come out. YES!! I don't have to mess with teeth anymore. Kudos to those of you in the dental field.

Tuesday.......

Tuesdays usually get over looked by most people. Everyone knows Monday because you have to come back to work after the weekend. Wednesday is hump day, only 2 more days until Saturday. Thursday goes by fast because Friday is getting closer. Friday is exciting because it is almost the weekend. Poor Tuesday...nothing really goes on. You don't hear people saying "Thank goodness it's Tuesday." Well, I love Tuesdays!! On Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 I will complete my Bachelors degree, and walk across the stage in December to receive my diploma!!! I know that right now the excitement of the first night of class has me giddy, saying that I love Tuesdays, but I am a realist....when it is time for a final, well, I will not like Tuesdays as much. I may actually start feeling like Tuesdays are Mondays.....naw...Tuesday will always have a special place in my heart.

At least she knew she was at wits end

There was a story this weekend that caught my attention. It was about a mother who dropped her children, 8 & 10, off at the fire station because they needed to learn how to behave. http://www.click2houston.com/news/15036092/detail.html

I heard a comment that she should be put in jail since she just dropped her kids off, she is a bad mother, she does not need to have children. The firemen were able to get in contact with their Grandmother, and the mother did come back. My thought is if she had not dropped them off and harmed them would people be saying she should have taken them somewhere?

Parents now days have it tough. We can't spank our children because CPS could be called on us. We are being told to put our children in time out or take away their toys. Well, as a parent I have done both of those things and sometimes I do not think I get through because he is doing it again in about 5 minutes.

Now I am not saying that every instance requires spanking, but come on. When I was in school you did not want to go to the principles office because you knew you might get a spanking. I don't know about some of you, but I respected my teachers and those older then me. Yes Sir and Yes Mamm (sp) are still a part of my vocabulary. Please, Thank you, your welcome, and excuse me are also still part of my vocabulary. It drives me nuts when I get told not to say Sir to someone. "It makes me feel old" is what I hear..I still have trouble calling people that I went to church with by their first names....Mr. Davenport has told me to call him by his first name, but I can't. It just doesn't work for me.

I was going to write about how glad I was this lady did not harm her kids, and I am glad that CPS is looking at them, but it turned into a "rant" about being respectful. It just seems to me that I hear about more and more children being disrespectful and they do not care about anyone but themselves. I was a teenager also and I remember those times, but I still had respect for my parents, they may not have known it, but I did.

Okay, random posting, but I just wanted to share my thoughts on the story and ended up with this. Too bad the paper that I am supposed to be writting is not getting this much attention. :)

I don't know if I will put anything out here tomorrow since I do have a major paper due Tuesday, but I will try. I hope I am not missed too much. Ha ha ha....

It's not about winning, but having fun

Another game well played by the Bobcats basket ball team. More passing, more team work, more rebounds, but for some reason their feet kept getting in the way of the ball. We lost 14-24, but we did better then we did last week. The boys really did play harder. There are 4 really tall boys, for being in the 2nd grade, on the team. C, W, J, A are the initials. (I have to protect my child and theirs.) C and J proved to be the best two players last week. The worked really well together and did most of the ball handling. This week the coaches split C
and J up and matched up A and J, to play together, and C and W to play together. I think it helped. All four of these boys scored today. J, my child, :) scored 6 points, C scored 4, and A and W scored 2 each. I was, once again, a very proud mom.

I have only one complaint. The man sitting next to me kept yelling that our players were not playing fair and that the refs were picking sides. He was bad mouthing our team, and my child specifically. He was yelling and just not being nice. I wanted to look at him as say "your winning, are you going to make this game bad for the rest of us?" I was good and did not say a word, which was very hard for me. The ref took care of it for me. He told the man that these boys were in the 1st and 2nd grade. This was only their second game. If he called everything they did wrong there would be no playing time. Thank you ref!!! After that the man was quiet and his team went on to victory. I kind of wish they had lost, but then again, it's not all about winning.

I will keep you posted on how his games go this season. It looks promising with the amount of improvement we saw today.

A Bit About Me

I realized that I just "popped" into the blogging world and did not introduce myself. I did not think this was an issue, since my family and friends would be reading this. I realized not only would my family and friends, but the whole world could read about me if they wanted. That is a bit odd, but I know that all the people in the world will not make it to visit my site. It would be interesting if they did, but I have told friends I have a blog and the response is....A what?.

I am 37 years old, born and raised in the best state ever....TEXAS! I have been married for almost 10 years to a wonderful man. I have a 7 year old son, who is growing up way too fast.

I do not really have a political stance, I don't care for any of the people running for president, but I am listening and reading about them to see if I can find one that I believe will do a better job.

I am a Christian and I love the Lord my God with all my heart and soul. He is an amazing creator and providor. He has seen me through many trials and He knows the plans he has for me. He also made me so he knows how hard headed I can be. :)

I have an wonderful family. My sister is going to be a PA and I am so very proud of her. She is an amazing woman and I am so humbled and blessed to be her sister. Her boyfriend is an amazing guy. He has been a part of our family for almost 6 years. They both enjoy life and love to travel so I know when she graduates this year we will probably not see them state side for awhile.

My parents have been married for 39 years. They are such great parents. I wish I had known that when I was in high school. I call my mother every day and tell her how sorry I am for being such a pain in the rear. This call usually comes after my son has done something. :)

I love to scrapbook, cross-stitch, watch the Astros, and watch the Texans. I am not a big professional basketball fan, but I love to watch my sons basketball games.

That is me in a nut shell, and trust me....I am a nut. :)

New Year's Resolutions

Okay, this morning I broke my first resolution. My goal was to make sure that I was up in time to get my make-up on before leaving the house. I did not even make it two weeks. Oh well. At least I have not broken any of the others: No dieting, no exercise, no Dr. Peppers. When you put them that way you are sure to not break them. :)
I mentioned in my first post that we were selling our house. I should not have gotten so excited about having 2 offers. I mean, I should, but it has been very stressfull. We, still, do not have a contract on the house, but we did counter offer one of the offers that we received. We have not heard back from that couple in 2 days. We do not know what to think. Our agent sent another email and said if we did not hear back by noon today we would take the other offer. I will keep you posted.
It is amazing to me that I can think of a million things to say, yet when I log in to create a blog....I get writters block. Since that is the case I am ending this post and maybe, if my writters block goes away, I will post again today. :)

I did it!!! I made a B in my Literature class!! I was praying for a C, so the B is a wonderful suprise. For those of you that don't know me I am a part time student and will graduate with my BBA in December 2009. I did have a 4.oo until the last 3 classes, but I have set my mind to graduate with honors, not a 4.00 GPA.
My next class starts tomorrow night and then I have another one that starts on the 15th. I only attend class one night a week for each class. If you want to get your degree the place to go it LeTourneau University. I started in June 2006, with about 30 hours and I will complete my degree in December 2009 (In case you didn't read that already. ;) )
I must get back to work, but I wants so excited that I had to blog it and let everyone know.

Welcome to 2008!!

Okay, this is all new for me. I am not a computer person, but I wanted my friends and family to be able to see what was going on in my life without forgetting anyone. :)

The year has started out pretty eventful. We, my husband, son and I, are trying to sell our house. Since this is not the sellers market we hoped for we are just praying for the best. Well our prayers are being answered. We have 2 offers on the house and now we just have to find the one that works best for us. :) We have no idea where we are going to go when we sell our house, but hey in-laws....is that RV still ready to be use. Ha.

Basketball season started and as a proud mom I am happy to say that my son scored 6 of the 10 points that his team scored during their first game. There is, right now, nothing better then watching a bunch of 1st and 2nd grade boys play their first game. 2 of our points came from the other team because they were shooting at the wrong basket.

As for now, this is all I have to write. I will think of more because I am never at a loss for words.
